Tallahassee Fire Station No. 16
Tallahassee, FL

Project Description
The City selected Stewart-Cooper-Newell to team with the City Architect for the design of Station No. 16. The City selected an extremely small site in the Public Safety Complex, which required the station to be a three-story facility with a very tight building footprint. The brick and cast stone exterior aesthetics were designed to complement the existing architecture.
The Station is a reinforced concrete masonry building with a steel truss roof and flooring system. Within the 11,543 SF occupying three floors are a two, drive-thru apparatus bays, a training mezzanine, offices, dorm areas, a commercial grade kitchen, a fitness room, and specialty training props.
