Project Description
Station No. 14 serves the Fayetteville State University Campus as well as adjacent residential communities and commercial properties. SCNA originally designed and built this fire station on a fast-track schedule as requested by the City and Fire Department. Design was completed in January and construction was completed in October of 2005, just 12 months after the project was awarded.
In 2014, SCNA prepared the design for renovating 5,500 SF of interior living space, to house the
Fire Department’s Administrative Offices and Training Classrooms.
The three-bay facility includes a bunk room for full-time firefighters, dorm rooms for students, offices, a dayroom and a large training room. In addition, many spaces for future training opportunities were designed into the station’s footprint. The station hosts an instructional program in Fire Science for high school students, Fayetteville Technical Community College students and Fayetteville State University undergraduate students.
