Project Description

Stewart-Cooper-Newell and Bacon Group Architects were selected to provide a facility evaluation and needs assessment for Lincoln County Animal Services.  The project also included programming and conceptual design of a new facility, to replace the existing facility which does not meet current design standards for animal shelters.

The initial programming and conceptual design will allow for easier public surrender and staff delivery of animals, better public interface, and eliminates overcrowding and incorrect grouping of animals.

Programming for the shelter established six primary function areas:  Public & Staff receiving, lobby and public spaces, dog housing, cat housing, staff offices and service spaces, and euthanasia. Lincoln County is expected to establish construction funding in 2020.
